28% Voter Turn-Out

I votedThe municipal elections in Marshall County on Tuesday, November 5th had a 28.51% voter turnout.

According to the Election Summary Report a total of 1686 citizens voted on Election Day.  There were a total of 186 paper absentee ballots and 338 walk-in absentee voters.  The total public count was 2,210 voters who took the time to cast their vote.  For this election there were a total of 7,753 registered voters eligible to vote in the elections.

The Election Summary Report also showed 422 Republican pulled a straight party ticket and 266 Democratic voted a straight party ballot.  Voters who cast a D or a R were alerted that they had to go into the ballot and find the At-Large candidates because those do automatically get checked when a straight party ticket is selected.
