OWI_Drinking and DrivingOn Sunday, December 29th at approximately 2:00 AM Officer Arnold with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 100 block of East Garro Street after located it driving on the sidewalk.

The driver of the vehicle, 70 year old William Gaddey of New Carlisle was arrested for OWI with a previous conviction, and OWI endangerment. William Gaddey was incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail with a blood alcohol content nearly four times the legal limit.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
