Ken Lukenbill_1Earlier this month the Marshall County Plan Commission took time out of their regular meeting to recognize local attorney, Ken Lukenbill tendered his resignation.

Mr. Lukenbill has served as legal counsel to the Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals for 35 years.

Ken Lukenbill_2Stan Klotz, president of the Plan Commission asked for a motion to accept the attorney’s resignation and with apprehension the board approved his resignation.  They then presented him with a token of their appreciation for his 35 year of dedicated service.

Lukenbill said, “As attorney for the County Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals, I worked under five Directors beginning with Bill Neal, Craig Morris, Troy Kiefer, Ralph Booker and current Director Ty Adley. Over the years, we have dealt with various issues including adopting a comprehensive zoning ordinance in 2007, sub divisions, lake issues, cell towers, and enforcement of the ordinance. In recent times enforcement has become a big part of the position. I have certainly enjoyed my thirty-five years in the position and have worked for very good people looking out for Marshall County.”
