A young man from Plymouth was killed Friday afternoon while working on the job-site on State Road 13 near Syracuse in Kosciusko County.
About 2 p.m. in the afternoon, 29 year old Ben Fisher was preparing to leave the job-site after flagging traffic in the construction area when he was struck by a vehicle and killed.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash and said additional information would be released on Monday.
Ben Fisher ran in the May Primary for Mayor of Plymouth. He ran against incumbent Republican Mayor Mark Senter and was unsuccessful in his bid to be the youngest mayor of the city.
Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter posted on his Facebook Page of the tragedy and asked for prayers for the Fisher family.
