The recent resignation of Argos Town Council member Dylan Colburn left an open seat for an At-Large representative.
A caucus was held Tuesday, August 13 at 5:30 p.m. at the Marshall County Republican Headquarters in Plymouth.
With only one candidate, Robert (Bobby) D. Byers the Walnut and Green Township representatives unanimously approved Byers for the position. He will fill the remaining term of Colburn who moved outside of the town limits. Byers will be on the Argos Town Council until the end of this year.
Marshall County Republican Chairman David Holmes administered the oath of office to Byers following the caucus.
