ArrestedSunday morning, May 26th, about 10:30 the Marshall County Dispatch Center received two separate calls advising of a reckless driver eastbound on US 30.

After observing the vehicle pass, Plymouth Police Officer Shelley Church initiated a traffic stop east of Plymouth Goshen Trail.

During her investigation she determined that 27 year old Joseph M. Alvarado of Chicago was Operating While Intoxicated.  He was incarcerated in the Marshall County Jail for OWI and Possession of Cocaine and a Controlled Substance and held on a $4,500 cash bond.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
