Plymouth Color Logo2014Monday evening members of the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety opened bids for the 2019 Community Crossing Matching Grant project.  Five companies submitted bids for the work that will be completed this spring.

The projects to be completed are: RANDOLPH St, from Jefferson to Baker Streets; STANLEY Drive from Hehr Lane to Jim Neu Drive; WALNUT Street from Jefferson to Monroe Streets; MADISON Street from Plum to Center Streets; KINGSTON Road from Pennsylvania Avenue to Jefferson Street; LEMLER Lane from   Michigan Street to Bayless Street; and CHESTER Street from Clinton Street to Oakhill Avenue.

Companies bidding were:

E&B Paving of Rochester for $ 784,194.25

Niblock Excavating from Bristol for $ 720,260.00

Phend and Brown from Milford for $ 858,183.90

Rieth-Riley Construction from South Bend for $ 699,462.45

Walsh and Kelly from South Bend for $ 635,829.60

City Engineer Rick Gaul asked to have the bids taken under advisement for review and verification.  He is expected to submit a recommendation to award the lowest and most responsive bid at the Monday, January 28th meeting.
