The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety opened bids for the fall Street and Sidewalk program on Monday evening.
The projects for this fall are Williams Street from South Michigan Street to Liberty Street; Third Street from Lake Avenue to Jefferson Street and Washington Street from Third Street to Plum Street.
Three companies presented bids for consideration. E & B Paving Inc. from South Bend had a bid of $536,209.61 while Reith Riley Construction Company Inc. from South Bend bid $467,814 and Walsh and Kelly Inc. of South Bend bid $559,869.99.
City Engineer Rick Gaul asked to have the bids taken under advisement for review with the Clerk/Treasure and Street Superintendent. He did not that $500,000 was budgeted for the fall projects.
