During Monday’s County Commissioner meeting, Commissioner Mike Delp reminded citizens that ground signs should not be placed in the county’s right-of-way along roads.
Last week he traveled many of the county roadways and removed dozens of illegal sign. Many of the businesses who had signs in the county’s right-of-way received a personal call to visit from Delp who explained the county’s policy.
Signs placed in the county’s right-of-way, on the front side of the utility poles, or signs attached to utility poles will be removed.
Delp said, “Signs can be placed on private property but those placed in the county right of way will be removed.”
