Signs_1During Monday’s County Commissioner meeting, Commissioner Mike Delp reminded citizens that ground signs should not be placed in the county’s right-of-way along roads.

Last week he traveled many of the county roadways and removed dozens of illegal sign.  Many of the businesses who had signs in the county’s right-of-way received a personal call to visit from Delp who explained the county’s policy.

Signs placed in the county’s right-of-way, on the front side of the utility poles, or signs attached to utility poles will be removed.

Signs_2Delp said, “Signs can be placed on private property but those placed in the county right of way will be removed.”
