County News # 1Kevin Overmyer, President of the Marshall County Commissioners told the County Council last Wednesday that the commissioners are about ready to hire a new Human Resources Administrator.

Overmyer told County Council members they had four applicants for the position that will be moved from the control of the County Auditor’s Office to being overseen by the County Commissioners.  He said they interviewed the four candidates last Friday and all four were really qualified.  The commissioners will announce the new HR Administrator at their meeting on Monday, November 18th.

Overmyer told the council he would like to start training the new person with current HR Administrator Tori Stull during the month of December.  Funds have not been appropriated for the cost of training and Overmyer said he hopes to do a transfer in the commissioner’s budget next month to cover the additional cost.
