Donate sweetheart dresses 2019The Plymouth High School guidance department is asking for the community’s help for this year’s upcoming PHS Sweetheart Dance which will be held on Saturday November 9.

New, unused, or gently used, formal or semi-formal dresses are being collected for students who can’t afford a new dress. The student committee working on this project defines gently used as the item is in good condition, clean, and presentable.

EPA Office of Solid Waste says the average American throws away more than 68 pounds of clothing per year. So donating your used items is better for the environment, and in this case your donated dresses may even help students in need.

If you have questions about donating your dress please contact Kelsey Flynn via email at kflynn@plymouth.k12.in.us. Also, if you are a student and you would like to go to the Sweetheart Dance, but you believe that purchasing a ticket will be financially difficult for you, please email the Aimee Portteus, the PHS Director of Guidance, at aportteus@plymouth.k12.in.us.
