Plymouth Color Logo2014A request from the Plymouth City Engineer to submit two road projects for the next round of the Community Crossing grant program was approved by the City Board of Public Works and Safety.

Monday evening Rick Gaul said he met with the Mayor, Clerk Treasurer and Street Superintendent on two projects he felt would meet the qualification of the grant and make a positive impact on the city. Gaul’s proposal is to mill and fill Ferndale Street from Liberty to East Street and Airport Drive from North Michigan Street to the airport.

The City Engineer’s proposal is to take advantage of left-over funds from the three prior rounds of Community Crossing projects as the required 50% match.  The application is due at the end of the month and the Board of Public Works and Safety approved the request.
