Marshall County Emergency Management Director, Clyde Avery is warning residents of the winter weather that will come in early Wednesday morning.
Here is the latest forecast update from the National Weather Service:
- Snow will spread from the south to the north from 2AM to 6AM tonight. Snow will change to freezing rain everywhere by 6AM to 8AM Wednesday morning, and then transition to just rain from southwest to northeast between 10AM and 3PM EST Wednesday.
- A light glaze (<0.1″) of ice is expected everywhere.
- We may receive an inch or less of snow.
- Confidence in exact snow and ice amounts is only medium at this time. Some adjustments are possible later today.
IMPACTS: Hazardous travel likely for the morning commute. Slick roads, bridges and overpasses.
