Police InvestigaitonOn Saturday, January 19th, 2019 at 10:49 PM, Marshall County Police were notified of a
maroon 2000 Jeep that had slid off the side of the roadway on Queen Road in the area of
7th Road. It was found that this vehicle was traveling southbound and crossed over the
northbound lane and into a field. The driver of the vehicle, Lucia M. Madison, was found
to be under the influence of alcohol. She was taken to Plymouth Hospital for a certified
test, which showed to be more than two times the legal limit of alcohol. She was taken
to the Marshall County Jail and processed for operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or
more.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable
cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only
probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent
throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to
a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable
doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
