Lady Rockies kick LaPorte
LAPORTE – The Plymouth Lady Rockie Soccer team took their show on the road Tuesday night as they traveled across a time zone to play at LaPorte. The Rockies came home victorious 5-1 as Aubrey Vervynckt had a hat trick to lead the way.
Along with Aubrey’s three goal performance, Julia Kinney had a free kick goal while Mia Wojcik also had a goal for the Rockies. Wojcik also contributed an assist on the final Vervynckt goal. The game was a physical contest but the Lady Rockies controlled the ball in their offensive end through most of the contest.
The win moves the Rockies to 4-1-1 on the year. The girls host Goshen at Don Kindt Soccerplex Thursday night in NLC action. JV start time is set for 6 p.m.
The JV Rockies shutout LaPorte 3-0. Lauren Manges had two goals while teammate Lexi Rose had the other Rockie goal. The Rockie defensive line did a great job at keeping the Lady Slicers at bay and scoring the shutout. The win moves their record to 2-2 on the year.
