Lancers run strong at Fairfield
GOSHEN – The LaVille ce-ed cross country team participated in the Fairfield Invitational.
The Lancers finished in fourth place overall in the six team field.
Individually, Alex Menting was the top LaVille runner, posting a time of 21-minutes, 36-seconds. Menting finished 27th.
“It was a great day every varsity runner set a new PR (personal record). The boys’ race was crazy, they pack ran and the placing was pretty surprising,” said coach Erin Ecker. “Alex Menting ran a great race and finished first for us.”
The overall medalist was Eli Lantz of Churubusco in the guys race finishing in 17:35. On the girls side, Fairfield’s Carol Haldeman earned medalist honors, touring the course in 19:38.
