Friday afternoon emergency responders were dispatched to 1310 Pilgrim Lane for an accident in the parking lot of TSC. The radio dispatch said a light pole in the parking lot had fallen on a male employee.
A news release from the Plymouth Police Department says a pole fell on the employee about 1:15. The employee had been working on some trailers in the parking lot when the incident occurred.
The police suspect the high winds on Friday caused the light pole to fall, striking the man.
The man was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend by Plymouth ambulance since the helicopters couldn’t fly due to the high winds. He had serious injuries.
