Mi Camino_1Thursday morning Mayor Mark Senter attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Grand Re-Opening of Mi Camino Real.

Mi Camino Grand ReopeningThe grand re-opening was due to a fire that occurred at the restaurant on September 24th.  The fire started on the exterior of the building in the area of the patio.  The flames continued to grow, going up between a false wall to a decorative tower on the top of the building that was a total blaze when firefighters arrived on the scene.  The Plymouth Fire Department was able to extinguish the blaze within a few minutes.

Mi Camino insideManager Rene Lopez said the fire was on the exterior but the interior sustained smoke and water damage.  He estimated about $60,000 in damages.

Mi Camino_signCustomers will notice all new carpeting and paint throughout the building, replacement of the ceiling tiles and lots of cleaning.

There is also a new menu for one of the city’s most popular restaurants.
