Wild Rose Moon is proud to announce Peter Nye and the Pinola Plowboys’ upcoming performance in Historical Downtown Plymouth.   The band features Peter Nye on guitar, Dan Moser on upright bass, and Doug Tyler on Banjo.  Tight, three-part harmonies are a main highlight of their performance which also features storytelling, fun jokes, and bluegrass standards. The band will showcase their warm bluegrass stylings at the Wild Rose Moon Performing Arts Center on Saturday, March 2nd at 8:00 p.m.

Peter Nye is a veteran performer with more than 30 years of experience playing and singing with his guitar. His musical journey started at the age of 13, where he performed at local honky-tonks around Chicago. Peter eventually involved himself in the Chicago folk music scene, during the 70’s and performed at various clubs around the city. In the 1980’s, he showcased in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the famous, Cain’s Ballroom.  Returning to Chicago he became an instrumental part of the Chicago Bluegrass Band.  Peter has shared stages with Waylon Jennings, Loretta Lynn, George Strait, Emmy Lou Harris, Bill Monroe, Ray Price, Doc Watson, Norman Blake, Jethro Burns, Dan Crary, David Grisman and Tony Rice.

Long on musical experience, bandmate, Doug Tyler, also performs in the down-to-earth bluegrass band Blue Holler, while bassist, Dan Moser, performs as part of the area band Ah Tu, along with several others.
