PHS_NHS 2019On Sunday, May 19, 29 Plymouth High School students will be inducted into the National Honor Society for their hard work and dedication to their academics. The event will take place at 1:30 p.m. in the Plymouth High School auditorium and is open to the inductees, their families and the staff members who nominated the inductees to receive this prestigious honor. This year, 29 students will be accepted into the National Honor Society, which includes two seniors, 11 juniors, and 16 sophomores. The National Honor Society serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. To be considered for the NHS, students must hold two leadership positions, be involved in the community through volunteerism, and hold a minimum of 3.3 GPA. After Sunday’s National Honor Society Induction ceremony, inductees, their families and Plymouth High School staff members are welcome to gather in the Plymouth High School cafeteria for refreshments and a small celebration starting at 2:15 p.m.
