The Plymouth high School Speech Team was awarded first place at the Fishers Tournament Saturday by scoring 110 points. Chesterton High School was 2nd with 95 points. This tournament is yearly the largest tournament in the state boasting 46 schools and over 600 entries. Teams from Evansville to Angola fielded a tournament nearly as big at the state tournament.
The following students made the semi-finals in one of their events. Katy Smith and Madison Smith in Humor, Edgar Garcia in Informative, Ana Baca, Levi Crawford, and Jacob Moreno in POI, and Holly DeSalle in Prose.

The team heads to Concord next weekend for a speech tournament. The Congress students also head to Concord for the District (National Qualifying) Tournament. Trent McKenzie and Jack Gardner have had great Congress seasons thus far.
