PHS Veterans Day program – Monday, November 11

2019 PHS Veterans Day ProgramPlymouth High School students and staff invite all veterans, along with the community to attend this year’s PHS Veterans Day program on Monday, November 11. The program will begin promptly at 8:40 a.m. in the varsity gymnasium.

Before the start of the program, PHS welcomes local veterans to enjoy complimentary breakfast beginning at 7:45 a.m. in the lobby area near door #7 on the east side of the building. Reservations are currently being accepted until the end of the school day on Friday by calling Plymouth High School at (574) 936-2178.

The PHS Radio and TV program will be providing live coverage of the annual program via a live stream feed that will be set up on their PTV YouTube channel for those who cannot attend. Speakers this year will be Plymouth High School principal Jim Condon, PHS graduate Gordy Holloway and Mayor Mark Senter.    LT. Holloway attended the US Coast Guard Academy and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in Management along with commissioning as an officer in the United States Coast Guard.   His first billet was the 378 ft. US Coast Guard Cutter MIDGETT out of Seattle, Washington. He was assigned as a Deck Watch Officer and also served as the Law Enforcement Officer, Boarding Officer, and Pursuit Mission Commander in the Law Enforcement/Counter Narcotics missions.  In 2017, LT Holloway was assigned as the Commanding Officer of the 87ft. Coast Guard Cutter SAILFISH out of Grand Isle, Louisiana. While there his crew supported missions of Search and Rescue, Law Enforcement/Fisheries, Ports Waterways and Coastal Security along the Louisiana coast and up to the Mississippi River.  LT Holloway is now attending the University of Notre Dame attaining his Masters of Business Administration in Finance through the Coast Guard’s Financial Management Program.

The wreath-laying ceremony will be performed by Petty Officer Joseph Tito of the United States Navy and Sergeant First Class Matthew Czerniewski of the United States Army.

Students listed below in the Plymouth High School Orchestra and Crimson Choir will perform various patriotic songs and melodies during the program under the direction of PHS Choir Director Ryan Ryan VanAntwerp and Orchestra Director Jodi Kallenberg.

PHS Crimson Choir is made up of the following students: Dexter Ambrose, Nick Anders, Hailey Casper, Kylee Colindres, Alex DeJarnatt, Caitlin Eckert, Savannah Gunter, Austin Kizer, Kameron Kopetski, Abigale Lee, Dakota Linback, Tyler Mackey, Savannah Paxton, Ryan Puglisi, Benjamin Raymond, Celia Richeson, Meg Robinson, Xinia Rogers, Cristina Shortt, and Ayanna Soria.

The following students listed below make up the PHS Orchestra: Vandalyn Daniels, Alexander DeJarnatt, Natalhy DeLeon, Mitchel Dickson, Guadalupe Flores, Hannah Friberg, Jesus Gama, Chloe Garner, Amalia Gonzalez, Grace Hinderlider, Jenna Justice, Kylie King, Elizabeth Lee, Jayla Mitchell, Andrew Morrison, Savannah Paxton, Celia Richeson, Juan Salas, Elijah Schramm, Lauren Schumacher, Cristina Shortt, Michael Stauffer, Claire Tanner, Kendalle Verkler,  Kyleigh Weiler-Kara, and Makayla Wilson.
