The Plymouth Education Association is raising money for this year’s PEA Teaching Scholarship fund through their annual Nelson’s Chicken fundraiser.
This year’s event will be held at Plymouth High School in the front lobby on May 3 from 3-5:30 p.m. Pit-Tatoes® are $3.50 and a half chicken will run you $6.50. If you are interested in this yummy goodness, please see any PEA member to purchase tickets.
The PEA has awarded the PEA Teaching Scholarship for 26 years; this year will be the 27th year. Each year, the PEA awards this scholarship to at least one Plymouth High School senior who desires to enter the field of education. To receive this award, the recipient or recipients must demonstrate academic excellence and outstanding personal achievements during their high school careers.
Last year’s recipients were Plymouth High School seniors Taylor Drake and Ally Dolan. Each received $1,200 from money raised during the annual PEA Chicken Sale.
