WARSAW – The Plymouth Pilgrim had a chance Thursday night to take the round robin portion of the NLC Golf. They did defeat Elkhart Memeorial 166-174, but they fell short against Warsaw and lost to the Tigers 156-166.
The loss dropped the Pilgrims to second place behind the Tigers as they went 6-1 in NLC round robin action. They will get a chance for revenge Saturday as they take on the whole field in the NLC Championship at South Shore Golf Course in Syracuse.
Chapman Yoder was the top Pilgrim finisher on Thursday as he shot a 37. Bryce Carmichael and Bennett Christy each finished with a 42 while Owen Yoder and Matthew Gerard each carded a 45.
The split on the evening moves the Pilgrims to 16-3 overall on the year. Action gets underway Saturday at 1 p.m.
The JV Pilgrims also defeated Memorial 203-214 but fell to Warsaw 174-203. Kyle Johnson lead the Pilgrims with a 48.
