Rachel Bockman, scholarship winner & Susan Eggleston scholarship committeeThe Plymouth Lions Club held their annual picnic for all members and their families at Christos Banquet Center.  This year the Lions Club was honored to award two scholarships to qualified high school students and both were invited to come to the picnic and bring their families.  This year’s winners were Rachel Bockman who was present with her parents, and Bridget Schafer who had a previous commitment and was unable to attend.  The Lions Club also Contributes to the Kizer Award for the outstanding male and female athlete.

Lion's Club new officers 6-2019Past District Governor and a member of the Lakeville Lions installed a slate of new officers at the last meeting of the Plymouth Lions Club.  Installed as President was Ken Lukenbill, Vice President, Stephen Eggleston, Secretary, Deborah VanDeMark, Treasurer Donald Morrison, Membership Chair, Ken Lukenbill, Tail Twister, Penny Lukenbill, and Lion Tamer, Bob Kizer.  Three additional Directors were installed for a two year term, Bill Wallace, Bob Kizer, and Doug Feece.

During the next meeting the Plymouth Lions Club will be making plans for the Blueberry Festival during Labor Day Weekend.  Once again the Lions Club will be serving blueberry pancakes and sausage at their biggest fundraiser of the year.  These fundraisers allow the club to award scholarships, and help fund the six International Projects which are Pediatric Cancer, Diabetes, Eye Care, Vision, Leader Dog, and Speech & Hearing.

Good things happen when we work together, the Lions Club works to improve the lives of people in our community and around the world.
