Plymouth swimmers get NLC win

PLYMOUTH — The Pilgrims boys and girls swim teams hosted the Northwood Panthers Tuesday night at the Aquatic Center. The boys defeated Northwood 99-85 while the girls nudged Northwood 100-85.
On the boys’ side, Cameron Riddle earned four 1st place finishes to lead the Pilgrims. Hugh Smith and Fitz Holm each earned three 1st place finishes and one 2nd place finish. Korey Kopetski had three 1st place finishes while Taylor Judd had two 1st and two 2nd place finishes. Gavin Hartle had one 1st place finish and three 2nd place finishes while Thomas Dolan earned four 2nd place finishes. Elijah Schramm had a 2nd place finish.
The win moves their record to 1-2 in the NLC and 1-3 overall. They participate in the Wawasee Invite on Saturday starting at 9 a.m.
Senior Graci Holm led the Pilgrim girls with four 1st place finishes. Rachel Jacobs and Marley Houin had three 1st place finishes and one 2nd place finish. Elizabeth Bacon and Raven Gritton each had a 1st place and two 2nd place finishes. Cladia Marohn earned two 2nd place finishes while Summer South earned one 2nd place finish.
The girls are now 1-2 in the NLC and 4-4 overall. They will also participate in the Wawasee Invite Saturday.
