Severe Thunder Storm WarningThe National Weather Service has placed the majority of Marshall County under the “Slight” risk category for the chance of isolated severe thunderstorms beginning tonight and again during the afternoon and evening hours on Saturday.

Primary threats include damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain.  Strong winds could cause damage to trees or tree branches which may result in some power outages or property damage.  Hail stones could cause damage to property.

Marshall County residents are encouraged to monitor a reliable weather source for updates and for the possibility of watches and warning being issued.

Marshall County EMA Director Clyde Avery said citizens should be ready to move to a safe location should severe weather develop.
