Riverside sweeps North Liberty
NORTH LIBERTY — The fifth-grade boys’ basketball team traveled to North Liberty on Tuesday and came home with two wins.
In the A game, the boys jumped out to an early lead but saw North Liberty claw their way back into the game. In the fourth quarter, the boys shut the door with a quick run to put the game out of reach, winning 31-15.
Defensive MVP’s for the game were Bryce Busse, Aiden Sampson, and Ben Shively.
In the B game, the boys also started strong to see their lead diminish in late in the game. Some big buckets late in the 4th sealed the deal for a 20-7 victory. The defensive MVP for the game was Chase Bowling.
Both teams will host a tournament on Saturday at Riverside starting at 9 a.m.
