U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) Wednesday discussed China’s predatory economic practices during the weekly Senate GOP press conference.
“The time has well passed for all of China’s trading partners to play a constructive part in correcting China’s predatory economic practices,” said Senator Young. “They need to join us. Each has to do their part so that American workers and farmers aren’t left holding the bag. As President Trump has said, ‘America first does not mean America alone.’ So we’re depending on our friends – on our partners – to step up and escalate the economic pressure on China.”
Ahead of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York this week, Senator Young sent a letter to President Donald Trump urging him to call on other countries to join the United States in maximizing trade pressure on China.
