severe-thunderstorm-watchThe National Weather Service has placed Marshall County under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 PM tonight.

Primary threats include damaging winds and large hail up to 1 inch in diameter.  We could experience localized heavy rainfall which may lead to ponding of water on road surfaces or other flooding concerns.

Marshall County Emergency Management Director Clyde Avery suggests residents monitor a reliable weather source for updates and possible watches and warnings.  Be ready to move to a safe location should severe weather develop.
