Stellar youth-AllieMarshall County Crossroads Stellar Sub-Committee on Education and Skills Training hosted 90 students from area schools at Swan Lake for a Student Stellar Workshop on Tuesday morning, August 27th. The workshop began at 10 a.m. and was seeking input from the students on the Quality of Life initiatives part of the Stellar Application.

Stellar youth-Andy HartleyMarshall County Students from Argos, Culver, Grace Baptist, Plymouth, Triton and Bremen met with several members of the Stellar Committee to gain the students perspective. Marshall County Economic Development Corporation and the Stellar Committee were eager to get input from this younger demographic.

Stellar youth-MattVanSoestThe students rotated around the room collaborating on Quality of Life ideas/concepts including: Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership, Education and Job Preparation, Arts and Culture, Place, Health and Wellness along with Parks and Networks

Stellar youth-Hugh SmithMarshall County Crossroads is a finalist for the Stellar Communities Program again this year after being selected as a finalist last year. The Stellar Communities Program works with self-selected regions on their vision for community and economic development, promotes local and regional partnerships and assists in implementing innovative solutions to challenges facing Indiana’s rural communities.
