Battery to police officerThe report of a suspicious man walking through the backyards of homes in the 11,000 block of 9A Road Friday afternoon sent Marshall County and Plymouth Police to investigate.

About 3:30 in the afternoon a caller called 911 to report seeing a man walking through her backyard. 

As police arrived on the scene, they made contact with the subject, he ran on foot from them.  Officer caught up to the man who fought with them before taking him into custody.  

MugShot_dennis wiremanThe subject was identified as 49 year old Dennis G. Wireman of Plymouth.   It is believed that he was under the influence of narcotics at the time of the incident.

Dennis Wireman was lodged at the Marshall County Jail for Battery against an officer and held on a and $1,500 cash bond.
