Miller's_Blues GROUP July 2019A never-before-seen act hit the stage at Miller’s Assisted Living Facility on Saturday, July 27th.  Samuel Lozada and Quentin Flagg combined forces to present what Activity Director Cindy Flagg dubbed it as THE TWO BLUES REVIEW.  Following a delicious meal of BBQ Ribs, Chicken, Sweet Potato Casserole Baked Beans and Peach Cobbler the residents retired to the lobby and enjoyed two totally different type entertainers present their versions of the ‘blues”.  In keeping with the blues theme Fedoras and shades were given to the residents during the program.

Miller's_Blues Kirk Livengood July 2019Flagg took to the stage first with his version of blues song.  Laughingly he stated that he considers the “Blues” as any song with the word BLUE in it!!  And he proceeded to sing such hits as “Blue Suede Shoes”, “Devil With the Blue Dress On”, “Mess ‘O Blues”, “Blue Hawaii”.  He ended his set with songs from the Blues Brothers movies.

Miller's_Blues Patty Miller July 2019Samuel Lozada rounded out the program with more of the original blues type songs.  His repertoire included original songs that Lozada wrote or arranged himself.  He also added his spectacular harmonica playing to his set of traditional blues music.
