Warnholtz’s season ends in semis
INDIANAPOLIS – Culver Academy’s Nikolas Warnholtz-Deck lost in the high school boys state semifinals Saturday.
The CMA senior finishes his season with a record of 22-5 after losing, 6-2, 6-3, to Perry Meridian senior Sajin Smith. The match was played indoors due to rain. Smith (27-1) later lost in the finals to Carmel’s Presley Thienenman by the score of 6-2, 6-0. Thienenman repeats as state champ. Carmel also had the champion doubles team. Last week Carmel won the team state championship to finish 24-0.
