PLYMOUTH – Senior golfer Olivia Waymouth made it official that she has decided to continue her education and golf career at Indiana University-Kokomo.

“My parents went to IU and I wanted to go to IU too, but I think this particular campus fits me better,” said Olivia. “I just thought I would go to Bloomington but I feel better at a smaller school. Coach Gulley likes me and he wants me so that made it easier.”
IUK coach Barry Gulley is in his first year with the golf program and likes the way Olivia fits into his long term plans for his program.
“My first recruiting class it was very important for me to find not only great young ladies but great students and Livy checked all those boxes,” he said. “She’s a great young lady, a great golfer with a lot of potential and when I’m looking long term, trying to build a program, that is the type of players I want to bring in, she’s top of the list.”
Olivia is the daughter of Ben and Michelle Waymouth and plans to major in Secondary Education/Social Studies while a student at IUK. Olivia is currently ranked 15th in her class of 230 students. She has a GPA of 4.00.
“More than half my family are teachers and I like the idea of teaching and helping people and making learning fun,” she said. “I want to teach high school history.”
Indiana University-Kokomo is a member of the NAIA. They are also members of the River States Conference. IUK will have a Fall schedule that will begin in August 2020. There Spring schedule will begin in April 2021.
