winter-weather-advisoryMarshall County remains under a Winter Weather Advisory.  Tonight we can expect mixed precipitation with a total snow accumulation of up to a half inch and ice accumulations of one to two tenths of an inch expected.  The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

Residents should plan on slippery road conditions.

The National Weather Service says precipitation may start as light snow or sleet this evening but will transition to mainly freezing rain overnight before changing to mainly rain by Tuesday morning. The hazardous conditions will likely impact the Tuesday morning commute.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibility, and use caution while driving.
