Senator Young speaking toTuesday, U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) continued to push for the passage of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) and provide certainty to tens of thousands of Hoosier farmers and manufacturers who rely on exports to Canada and Mexico.

“As of last weekend it was one year, one year, since the President of the United States signed the USMCA Trade Deal with our counter parties: Canada and Mexico. So it’s been a year and Congress still has not voted on this,” said Senator Young. “Look, Nancy Pelosi needs to bring this bill to the floor. She herself has said ‘it’s the easiest trade deal that we’ve ever done’. She also said, ‘we want to pass this bill’. Well let’s get it done. It’s the best thing that Congress can do to keep this economy moving as it has been moving, as wages have been rising, to benefit Indiana manufacturing workers, to benefit Indiana farmers, and so I’m tired of the cat and mouse games. It’s time to get it done.”
