ROCHESTER – A 12-3 second quarter gave Rochester the gap it needed to defeat Argos, 44-35, Thursday night. Both teams now have 6-4 records.
Maddie VanDerWeele led the Lady Dragons in scoring with 11 points, followed by Elizabeth Edmonds with eight to go with a game-high 11 rebounds. Emily Lafree chipped in seven points. Already without senior Macy Morris due to a knee injury, Argos senior point guard Morgan Dunlap left halfway through the second quarter to an ankle injury.
The Argos JV team lost, 33-14. The Lady Dragons were paced by Emily Dunlap with eight points.
