Reckless Driving Report Leads To Plymouth Woman’s Arrest For OWI

OWI_Drinking and DrivingOn Saturday, November 14th at 5:00 P.M. Officer Krynock with the Plymouth Police Department responded to the area of Michigan Street and Monroe Street in reference to a report of a Reckless Driver.

Officer Krynock located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop for several traffic infractions. The driver was identified as 68 year old Phyllis R. Pier of Plymouth and was found to be under the influence of alcohol.  Pier was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was held on the charge of Operating While Intoxicated with bond set at $1,505.

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
