Monday evening the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety awarded the bid to demolish the home at 701 West Lake Avenue in Plymouth.
The residence had been declared unsafe and the property owners have failed to take any action.
Langfeldt Excavating had the lowest bid at $12,900. They will have 90 days to complete the work.
The Board of Public Works and Safety also approved the request of Police Chief Dave Bacon to offer conditional employment to Joshua Baker. Councilman Jeff Houin said, “We had some really good candidates that we interviewed in our executive session and I think we found an exceptional one.”
Baker is a current Colorado State Patrol Officer who has a best friend who lives in this area. Although he’s not from around here he wanted to settle down here with his family.
