Jean Wolfe and Jerry Kisela-smallAncilla College has added two new key players in their continued efforts to provide more opportunities for students as well as build stronger relationships with the neighboring communities.

Jean Wolfe, a lifelong resident of Marshall County, has been added as AncillaWorks Coordinator. Wolfe has served as the Senior Training and Development Manager at Grace College, as well as in numerous positions at Davenport University including Career Services, Campus and Regional Administration and Training and Development. She is dedicated to servant leadership, organizational success, development of others and communication excellence.

AncillaWorks is based on partnerships with select local businesses who share a passion for our community and Ancilla students. These partnerships will create opportunities for students to combine their academic schedule with a work schedule, allowing them to gain experience and finish their degree program with little to no debt. The business partners involved in the program will gain the benefit of investing in students who are work-ready, motivated to gain experience, and who receive ongoing support. “AncillaWorks will eliminate the difficult decision for people who think they have to choose between college and work. AncillaWorks makes both possible and manageable,” Wolfe explained.

Wolfe will also be in charge of the current Ancilla College Earn to Learn Program, which offers a renewable scholarship based on a combination of financial need, scholastic ability, and educational and career goals. “Scholarship recipients are able to connect their long-term professional goals with relevant work experience here on campus,” shared Wolfe. “The Earn to Learn Scholarship has many benefits. It provides a way to reduce costs, as the scholarship funds are applied directly to the student’s account. The student also acquires real-world experience in the same safe, supportive environment where they are earning their degree.”

Also new on board is Jerry Kisela who was added as of Manager of Admissions and Community Outreach. Most recently, Jerry served for 12 years at the Culver Educational Foundation at Culver Military Academy as the Associate Director of Admissions. Kisela will be a strong presence in building connections with area schools in order to communicate opportunities for future college students. “Jerry has been an active leader in our community for many years. His service-oriented approach and passion for people will enrich our College and community,” said Dr. David Stauffer Senior Director to the President and Business Division Chair.

With the addition of both, Ancilla College is looking to continue to grow and become more integral in the relationships with the surrounding communities by providing a path for students to receive a quality education closer to home.
