Argos shuts out Westview
WESTVIEW — The Argos Lady Dragons traveled to take on the Westview Lady Warriors Friday night. The Lady Dragons were running down hill the entire first half, having high pressure on the Warriors.
Argos would strike first when Aryanna Allen scored off a Bella Stults cross in the 10th minute; and again when Allen scored off a long ball by Madilyn VanDerWeele in the 13th minute.
Then Lilly Hines would find Hannah Trump for a perfect finish in the 23rd minute.
The second half went on to be a back-and-forth battle between the Dragons and Warriors, but in the 77th minute, Trump would get a head on the ball to put the Dragons up 4-0.
Just before the end of the game Emma Dunlap would lay off to Hines to put the final nail in the coffin to seal the win 5-0 in the 79th minute. Argos would have 11 shots on goal to the Westview 3. The Dragons improve to 8-4 on the season 3-1 in the conference. Argos travels to Brementoday for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
