Bremen Public Library would like everyone to know that even though their building is closed due to the pandemic, their staff is still engaging the community in fun and educational ways!
April is National Poetry Month and this week is National Library Week … so to celebrate both, we are holding a Haiku Challenge! To participate, write a haiku to share with us. A haiku is a three-line poem with 17 syllables (five in the first line, seven in the second line, and five in the last line.) A good haiku will emphasize simplicity, intensity, and directness of expression. Send your original haiku to bremenpubliclibrary@gmail.com by this Saturday, April 25. Include the title of the haiku, along with the first and last name of the author. Prizes will be awarded!
