Bremen runners compete in NIC race

BREMEN – The Bremen Boys Cross Country team placed 8th in the Northern Indiana Conference Tournament with the girls finishing in 7th place.
Bremen’s boys managed to come home with five season bests and 5 personal records for the day.
Aaron Douglass (18:06), Tyler Smith (18:07), Jacob Fish (18:34), Benjamin Hayes (21:45) and Tyler Schmeltz (21:57) all had season’s best. James Wordleman (19:31), Jackson Gilmer (20:09), Sam Stiles (20:49), Kody Zbieranski (21:06) and Caiden Newman (22:45) all broke their personal records.
For the girls, Courtney Lawmaster finished 21st overall giving her NIC All-Conference Honorable Mention.
Courtney had a season’s best of 21:26 and she wasn’t alone. Caylee Barr (23:59), Hallie Klockow (22:03), Amber Barber (24:18), Addie Stine (24:49) and Audrey Sands (24:43) all finished with season’s best. Keely Miller finished with her second personal record for the year with a time of 27:06.
The Lions travel to Erskine Golf course for sectional Saturday.
