400 East Jefferson_3City Attorney Sean Surrisi updated members of the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety on a couple of matters during their meeting on August 24th.

The City of Plymouth is taking additional action on the unsafe building at 400 East Jefferson, the former Clark Station.  Surrisi said they moved forward after the foreclosure moratorium ended with a court request to file judgement against Mr. Michael Iqbal.  Circuit Court granted the motion last week and filed a judgement in the amount of $12,380.  Surrisi said the city will begin working on collection methods to obtain the funds that were used to demolish the building.

701 Lake Avenue 2The residential property at 701 West Lake Avenue at the intersection with 3rd Street will move forward to demolition.  Surrisi said specifications for the project have been provided to some demolition contractors that have provided services in the past. The opportunity will also be posted in the newspaper.
