On Tuesday, the Marshall County Commissioners extended the Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration for our county.
With 30 deaths in the county from COVID-19 the commissioners want to bring the severity of this pandemic to the public’s awareness.
While the Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration has no immediate direct affect on the businesses and citizens of Marshal County, it does allow the County Health Officer, Doctor Bryon Holm the ability to implement any precautions he deems necessary.
The commissioners are urging all citizens to wear a mask, wash your hands frequently and social distance of at least 6 feet. Also, if you aren’t feeling well, stay home and those who may have been exposed should quarantine for 14 days.
The Marshall County Commissioners have implemented a Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration due to the coronavirus 9 consecutive weeks from March 20th through the middle of May. With the rise in positive test results and an increase in deaths the commissioners reenacted the Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration on October 20th, again on the 27th and now on November 2nd. The declaration must be extended every 7 days.
