County BuildingIt will be a busy day for the Marshall County Council.  Monday they will hold their monthly meeting beginning at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.  The agenda includes a corrected 6 month commissary report by Sheriff Hassel and the Human Resource director will present job descriptions for the Extension Office Secretary/Office Manager and Support Staff.

Ashley Garcia from the County Health Department is seeking exempt status for the Public Health Nurse/Health Educator while Evelyn Shields from WIC is seeking a wage adjustment for the bilingual clerk.  She is also requesting permission to apply for the 2021 WIC grant.

USI Consultants will discuss the Veterans Parkway extension project and Commission Kevin Overmyer will discuss the CARES Act funding of projects.    Also on the agenda is David Bottorff who will give an update on the AIC and the council will consider additional appropriation and transfer requests.

Following their regular meeting the County Council will begin the process of cutting over $800,000 from the 2021 budget requests.  They will review the budget requests department by department and line by line.

The County Council meeting is open to the public.  Masks are required to enter the building and meeting and social distancing is suggested.
