The Marshall County Council will hold a special informational meeting and a public hearing on the proposed expansion project at the County Jail on Monday, January 6th at 6 p.m.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held in the second floor meeting room of the County Building, room 203. The public hearing is for the purpose of receiving input from county officials and to let the public learn about the proposed building project and give them the opportunity to ask questions and express their concerns.
While the County Council did take steps to keep the project moving forward in December, by approving the first reading of an ordinance for a General Obligation Bond for construction, it was noted that the ordinance would have to be passed on second and third reading before moving forward with the project.
