mugshot_fabiola taylor 12-28-19On Saturday, December 28th, at 11:06 PM, Marshall County Officer Wozniak initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of West Walnut Street in Argos on a black 2015 Dodge pickup truck. During the investigation, Officer Wozniak detected an odor of marijuana.

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and officers located suspected marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia and two pills being identified as legend drugs and a controlled substance. The officer also located suspected MDMA powder, commonly known as Ecstasy. The driver, 25 year old, Fabiola Taylor of Chesterton, IN, was detained.

During the course of this traffic stop, Officer Wozniak had a civilian rider that witnessed the female put something in her pants out of sight of the officer while the search of the vehicle was being completed. The female admitted to having additional MDMA that she hid. She was taken to the jail and was searched by staff, with only an empty baggie being located. An additional search revealed approximately 2 grams of suspected MDMA and heroin that was later located in her clothes.

Fabiola Taylor was booked and processed for possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a legend drug, obstruction of justice, trafficking, and possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia with bond set at $1505 cash. She was released the following day after posting bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
