Jonathan Leist, Culver Town Manager announced a “Boil Order” Thursday morning.
Water service has been temporarily shut off for the town of Culver due to a break in a main water line. In consultation with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, it has been determined that the water customers in Culver should boil their drinking water once service returns. This precautionary measure is recommended because of loss of pressure in the water main within your service area.
It is recommended that all cooking and drinking water be brought to a complete boil for five (5) minutes before using. Please continue to boil all cooking and drinking water until the Town of Culver notifies you that it is no longer necessary. In order to cancel this order, water samples taken on two successive days must be tested and meet all drinking water standards.
